George, I don't have 'official' names for mine, but I have slips of these purple skinned sweet potatoes purchased at a Korean store two years ago. Both were labelled as 'Korean sweet potato'...one is purple fleshed (dry, but good). I have a lots of slips I could share, but I don't have any fresh potatoes left.
I also have a few slips from a purple skinned white flesh (also purchased at Korean store years ago and called 'Korean sweet potato'). Very sweet and good. It is 2nd from the left in this picture.

Thank you so much! I have passed on the URL of this thread to my friend. We'll see what he says. I bet he'll be very happy to get some slips from you.

George, I sent a box full of both these 'Korean sweet potato' slips to your friend. I didn't give him a 'heads up' that they were coming....SURPRISE!!!...so I hope he has a place to plant them! Also, they were in transit over the holiday weekend so 2 day shipping took 5 days. Hope he didn't get a box full of green mush. They say its the thought that counts, and we had good intentions.

Thanks June! I haven't communicated with him for over a week, but I did tell him, beforehand, that he should expect a box of Korean Purple slips. Hopefully he was ready.
